Description
What does touch actually do to the human body?
In this experiential mini course, we will explore touch from ancient Tui Na methods to modern sensory neuroscience. We will investigate how rubbing, pressing, rolling, grasping, pinching, vibration, percussion, and movement may influence the nervous system, tissue perception, protective responses, body awareness, and movement options.
Come learn to recognize touch as a language—and explore how the quality, rhythm, depth, direction, and intention of contact can change the message the body receives.
